Stat line of the night
Trevor Klein, running back, East Buchanan – The senior did a little of everything including playing defensive for the first time this season in the Bulldogs 40-24 win over St. Michael. He finished the night with 145 yards and 3 TDs on offense while helping to contain St. Michael’s dynamic offense when he played defense.

Highlight of the night
Lee’s Summit hosted Park Hill and the Tigers jumped to an early lead. They extended it to 16-3 in the second quarter when Dawson Heeney did their best Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce impression. Kevin Wike was on the call for Spectrum Sports.

   

Team of the night
Maryville – The Spoofhounds went out of the area and took on Class 4 No. 1 Lutheran North in a neutral site game at Chillicothe Saturday afternoon. Maryville trailed 14-7 but scored two late touchdowns to earn a 19-14 win and knock Lutheran North from the ranks of the unbeaten.

Big Winner
Atchison – The Phoenix beat Topkea Highland Park 64-8 to move to 6-0 on the season. Atchison hasn’t been tested since a week No. 1 48-42 win over Ottawa. The 48 was the lowest point total of the season for the Phoenix and Thursday’s win was the fourth time they have scored 63 or more points in a game.
