Take a look back at Week 8

Welcome to Five From Friday our weekly feature that highlights some of the best quotes, notes, stats and performances of the games Friday night.

Quote of the night
“I'm proud of our d-line. They are really senior-heavy and have been carrying us all year. Our defense has played well. I feel bad for them because our offense turned the ball over after they made a heck of a goal-line stand, and then we turned it over on the next play.” – Kearney coach Logan Minnick after his team’s 42-7 win over Grandview.

Stat line of the night
Olathe North defense – The Eagles put the clamps on Mill Valley holding the Jaguars to just 89 yards rushing and two pass completions in their 28-14 win.

Highlight of the night
Lee’s Summit North hosted fellow unbeaten Lee’s Summit West and the Broncos needed all of their stars to play well. North’s Isaiah Mozee already had one touchdown when he grabbed a screen and went looking for the endzone. – Kevin Wike was on the call for Spectrum Sports.
