Quarterback Jake Wolff passed four a pair of touchdowns and rushed for two more to lead the Tigers (1-1, 1-1 Eastern Kansas League).

The junior went 17-of-24 for 230 yards, connecting with six different receivers in the process.

Chase Jans had a 98-yard kickoff return, the only Tiger touchdown Wolff wasn’t involved in.

Kahlil Allen’s five-yard scoring run gave the Mustangs (0-2, 0-2) the lead 2:18 into the game, but Wolff and Tigers took the lead for good by the end of the first quarter.

Blue Valley Northwest 34, Harrisonville 28, OT
Drew Coble’s 14-yard touchdown pass to Evan Ranallo was the game-winner as the interstate matchup went to overtime before the visiting Huskies emerged victorious, snapping a 13-game losing streak in the process.

The Huskies (1-1) last won a game Oct. 5, 2017 -- with a 29-24 loss to Harrisonville last season was included in the streak.

Jace Reynolds had four rushing touchdowns for Harrisonville (0-3) and finished with 352 yards on the ground. His three consecutive touchdowns in the second half turned a 14-6 deficit into a 28-14 lead before Edward Thomas’ 3-yard run with 2:12 left to send the game to overtime.

The game-winning pass was just Coble’s second attempt of the game. Mikey Pauley took most of the snaps, completed 24-of-48 passed for 313 yards in the pass-heavy offense. But his three touchdowns were offset by three interceptions.

Lawrence 30, Shawnee Mission East 7
The Lancers were undone by turnovers in their Sunflower League matchup against resurgent Lawrence (2-0, 2-0), which included three interceptions -- two picked by Corbin Oberzan and another taken 52 yards for a touchdown by Austin Hollins. 

Oberzan also emerged with a fumble recovery, and SME (0-2, 0-2) also sent a bad snap through the end zone for safety.

The game, played at Shawnee Mission North, initially started Thursday evening before being postponed due to weather in the first quarter.

Jerry Walker returned the kickoff following the “pick six” 92 yards to the end zone, the Lancers’ only score.

Saint Thomas Aquinas 62, Blue Valley Southwest 7
Tank Young and the Saints has their way with the host Timberwolves as the junior running back ran for 10.8 yards per carry on the way to 141 yards and three touchdowns -- plus an 11-yard pass from Blake Anderson -- before giving way to the rest of the backfield.

In all, St. Thomas Aquinas (2-0, 2-0 Eastern Kansas League) accounted for 453 yards on the ground and seven touchdowns. Anderson passed for the other two while going 6-of-6 passing.

Drew Jennings’ 72-yard catch and run touchdown from Tanner Curry early in the second quarter got the Timberwolves (0-2, 0-1) on the scoreboard. The play accounts for more than half of Southwest’s 131 yards of offense.
