We are approaching the end of the regular football season in the Greater Kansas City area. One program, Platte County, is off to a great start posting a 6-2 record this year. The Pirates are using Riddell’s advanced helmet technology paired with InSite Analytics data to improve player performance.
Platte County is one of two programs that are recipients of a grant from the McCarthy Auto Group this year. McCarthy Auto Group has partnered with Riddell for the last 10 years providing teams in the Greater Kansas City Metro with innovative InSite smart helmet technology.
“The InSite Analytics tool with the Axiom helmets has been a great addition to our program. The data obtained has allowed us to correct some technique mistakes that help keep our players safe,” said Coach Utz. “It allows us to monitor the helmet contact our players endure throughout the week. This gives us data we can compare from week to week, and we can adapt our daily activities to make the game safer.”

Platte County is looking to close out their regular season Friday night at William Chrisman.
In line with the McCarthy Auto partnership, Preps KC publishes articles highlighting one school’s experience with InSite. Post-season, Preps KC has run an essay contest where one lucky school received 10 Riddell SpeedFlex helmets with InSite technology.
Through this partnership, McCarthy Auto Group and Riddell are taking an active step in improving on-field player protection.
