Kaw Valley schedule is loaded again

The Kaw Valley League is consistently one of the top conferences in Kansas and 2012 should be no different.
 
The League put five teams in the Class 4A and 5A playoffs last year led by Basehor-Linwood’s second straight undefeated regular season.
 
This year the league schedule has some great games every week. Here is a look at this year’s Kaw Valley League games.
 
Week 1
Bonner Springs travels to Turner to open the season. The Braves were in the playoffs last year in 5A and make the move to 4A this season. The Bears will be playing their first game under a new coach.
 
Week 2
Basehor-Linwood hosts Piper in what has become a nice Kaw Valley rivalry. These two teams usually play a high-scoring game that is very entertaining.
 
Week 3
Basehor-Linwood travels to Mill Valley in a rematch of the game that decided the league title last year.
 
Week 4
Piper welcomes Bonner Springs in what could be a playoff game down the road. This will be a good midseason test for both teams.
 
Week 5
Bishop Ward travels to Tonganoxie in a game between teams with new coaches. Both schools are looking to improve and this game should show just how far each team has come.
 
Week 6
Mill Valley hosts Piper in a game that could be a conference showdown.
 
Week 7
Bishop Ward hosts Sumner in a district opener that will be key for both teams.
 
Week 8
Turner travels to St. Thomas Aquinas looking for a possible playoff berth if it can pull off a big road win.
 
Week 9
Mill Valley hosts Lansing in what should be a district championship game.
