The football season is over and now is the time to take a look at coaching movement across the Metro.

Before the season ended several coaches announced their desire to retire or step down. Staley’s Fred Bouchard led the way announcing his retirement before the season. Fellow championship coaches Scott Wright of Blue Valley West, Jeff Gourley of Olathe South and Royce Boehm of Lee’s Summit West followed as their seasons came to an end. Blue Springs South’s Greg Oder also announced his retirement Dec. 18.

The most recent change has come at Van Horn where Jeff Tolbert stepped down to take the Activities Director poisiton at Plattsburg. That leaves Van Horn and Sherwood with the only current openings.
