The regular season is just a few months away so let’s take a look at the schedules for all of the teams in the Metro.
We start with the United Kansas Conference. The league is in its third year and had a strong showing in its first two years. This year’s schedule brings some new non-conference games to the group. Blue Valley Southwest has picked up several UKC teams and even a couple of Missouri schools will test out the League.
DeSoto will host Kearney in final week of the regular season while Lansing will see Platte County come to town that week as well.
Other good games could be a former conference rivalry from the old Kaw Valley League as Basehor-Linwood hosts Tonganoxie in week 1. Another interesting game will be in week 2 as Turner hosts Lansing in its new on-campus stadium. One final scheduling quirk has Shawnee Heights with only two road games this year so the T-Birds will not do much traveling in 2020.
