Welcome to Five From Friday our weekly feature that highlights some of the best quotes, notes, stats and performances of the games Friday night.

Quote of the night

“That was our game plan. We know North Kansas City is going to be a physical team. We definitely wanted to come out and match them physically and we've got some kids that can run the ball on the edge.” - Raytown head coach Logan Minnick after his team’s 35-14 win over North Kansas City.

Stat line of the night

Jace Reynolds, Harrisonville running back – The senior exploded for 358 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries in the Wildcats 38-37 win over Wayne Hills, N.J.

Call of the night

Joel Becker and Mark Files were on the call when Lee’s Summit West was facing a fourth and goal on the Park Hill 28.

Fourth and forever

Team of the night

Liberty – The Jays found themselves in a dogfight with Blue Springs that went to overtime. The Wildcats would score first to take a 42-35 lead. Liberty would score and go for two and the win. They got the conversion and earned a big week 1 win.

Big Winner

Hogan Prep Academy – The Rams went on the road and came home 40-14 win over the Minutemen. In a season where Hogan Prep only has home games any win on the road is big and a win at a Missouri River Valley Conference East power is big to start the season.
