Again this year PrepsKC is partnering with Price Chopper to highlight some of the outstanding students who are working at your local Price Chopper.
These students are balancing school, work and extracurricular activities every day. PrepsKC and Price Chopper will recognize two each week during the regular season.
The first Price Chopper Student Athlete of the week is Connor Stratton from Blue Valley North where he plays football and basketball.
He is a day clerk at the Price Chopper at Rosanna Square in Overland Park. Stratton made an impact from the time he was hired in April of 2020. His manager said of him:
“He quickly got moved into a role of someone who can reliably keep the store stocked and our delivery trucks ran efficiently. Connor is a quality young man; funny, smart and always willing to do what is needed to get the job done. He and his brother are often considered my left and right hand. Way to go Connor.”
Stratton said he enjoys working the job and the people he works with.
“I enjoy working at Price Chopper because my work environment is comfortable and my coworkers are easy to get along with,” Stratton said. “My hours are flexible and that especially helps with my extracurricular activities.”
