This season St. James Academy is looking to improve each week of the season on the field. Having been an early adopter to Riddell InSite technology they are ahead of the game off the field. With the donation by McCarthy Auto Group this season, the Thunder are one of eight schools using Riddell InSite Analytics, which is an expanded offering being accessed as part of a pilot program.

“Since using InSite Analytics, I am better able to utilize the data collected by InSite and easily relay the information to our coaching staff on a weekly basis,” St. James Academy Director of Sports Medicine Josh Adams said. “With this information we are able to analyze athletes’ impact location and utilize it to help make more informed practice plan decisions throughout the week as well as using it as a coaching tool to address player behavior. It’s a great way to stay proactive in the continued fight to help reduce head injuries and keep the sport safe.

“InSite Analytics takes all of the pertinent information that InSite collects and summarizes it in a Weekly Summary delivered to my staff and me. It helps give me solid data to take to my coaches to better understand useful data to help reduce impact volumes and give our athletes a competitive and performance advantage.”

The Thunder picked up their first win on the season last week against St. Pius. They look to build off that win Friday night against Blue Valley Southwest.
