The winner of this year's McCarthy Auto Group Riddell InSite equipment contest is University Academy. They Gryphons won the essay contest and will get good use out of the new equipment as they are co-opting with the Kauffman School in the fall to give more area athletes the chance to play football.

The McCarthy Auto Group is continuing its commitment to high school athletics through its work with Riddell, the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association, PrepsKC and The Simone Awards. Each year The McCarthy Auto Group gives 23 $1,000 scholarships through the GKCFCA Scholar Athlete program. It is also a founding partner of PrepsKC since its beginning in 2010. This past year The McCarthy Auto Group became the presenting sponsor of The Simone Awards and will give out a $5,000 scholarship to a Metro athlete late this year.
